Tastes and Colors in Colombia
Day 1 / Bogota – Villeta
Staff and crew presentation, documentation inspection and route talk. Departure to Villeta. Climate will change from cold of Bogota at 14 degrees to 27 degrees in the town of Villeta.
Day 2 / Villeta – La Miel River
We will star our ride on an off road path called the river, going into the mountains, finishing our ride at La Miel river. We will leave our motorcycles in a certain point and take boats and finish our day in a very nice hotel.
Day 3 / La Miel River – Medellin
We will leave La Miel River to Medellin, through a paved road, before reaching Medellin we will stop in a small town called Guatape, known for its beautiful scenery of its dam and the view seen from the Peñol Rock.
Day 4 / Medellin (Day Of)
We will have a day of in Medellin, to travel this city awarded for its urban innovation and sustainable development with wonderful places to know. Go up the Metrocable to a library, the Antioquia Museum, Arvy Park, etc. As an option we could ride to Santa Fe of Antioquia, a typical cultural town of Antioquia and go to its West Bridge.
Day 5 / Medellin – Jardin
We will start our ride visiting scenic little towns of Antioquia, to finish in one of the most colorful towns of Antioquia called Jardin, maximum exponent of the “Paisa” culture.
Day 6 / Jardin - Salento
Having for scenery the Cauca river side we will head through a good road to Salento, A beautiful town near the Cocora Valley were we can find the Wax Palm a national Colombian tree.
Day 7 / Salento (Resting Day)
During this day riders will choose from different activities (Enjoys the coffee park, tour on Willis Jeep, visiting Cocora park, a butterfly farm, Muleteer museum or stay and do craft shopping in Salento town).
Day 8 Salento – Manizales
On this day, we will go through typical Little towns of the coffee region: with their houses made of “bareque” and “guadua” filled with colors that grant them a romantic atmosphere filled of Colombian past. The route will lead us to the central mountain range paths to Manizales, on its suburbs we will finish our day enjoying a nice rest on the hot springs of Ruiz volcano.
Day 9 Manizales – Honda
We will go up a rustic off road path to the base of Ruiz Volcano at 4000 meters above sea level, escorted by high mountain volcanic scenery. After a splendid route filled with curves we will descend to old and hot colonial Honda town at the Magdalena river bank.
Day 10 Honda – Bogota
After a small walk through the center of the old colonial town, we will ascend to the east mountain range, we will go of the main road to go through small off road paths with splendid scenery till we reach Utica and from there to Bogota, were we have our goodbye dinner.
